The Republic of Yemen becomes the latest country to ratify the Constitutive Charter of the Organisation of Educational Cooperation (OEC) following the signing and the depositing of the instrument of acceptance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the Republic of Djibouti – the Charter’s depositary.
The OEC Secretary-General-elect, H.E. Manssour Bin Mussallam, commended Yemen’s commitment to the Universal Declaration of the Balanced and Inclusive Education (UDBIE) and the principles and values of OEC.
The Secretary-General-elect reiterated the Organisation’s readiness to support and assist Yemen in achieving the commitments contained in the UBDIE in order to contribute to the realisation of the country’s aspirations for equitable sustainable development.
OEC was founded on 29 January 2020 by countries from across the Global South as an instrument of intellectual, technical and financial cooperation and solidarity between its Member States as well as its Associate Members.
