«It has been an extraordinary, historic visit,» said the Secretary General of the Educational Cooperation Organization (OCE), His Excellency. Mr. Manssour Bin Mussallam, in conversation with the Minister Advisor to the President for all Forms of Education, Hon. Mr. Salvador Vanegas Guido, and the Minister of Education, His Excellency. Mrs. Lilliam Herrera Moreno, saying goodbye to the Republic of Nicaragua this March 24.

In a quick recount, the hospitality of the President Commander stood out. Hon. Mr. Daniel Ortega Saavedra and the Vice President. Mrs. Rosario Murillo, as well as each of the authorities and actors with whom he held dialogues in order to build an action plan from the South coordinating the exchange of knowledge in pursuit of progress.

He also gave high significance to the challenge that citizens are taking on to jointly bring the concept of education to the Nicaraguan reality not only as a human right but as a proactive instrument for the construction of a better society and world.

Particularly regarding the activities and results of his official visit to the Central American nation, Bin Mussallam highlighted the initiatives and policies undertaken by the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity to fulfill the commitments contained in the Universal Declaration of Balanced and Inclusive Education .

When praising the Organization’s drive to be a powerful and original integration platform, Vanegas Guido expressed interest in continuing to delve deeper into issues of the common agenda such as education, innovation and social justice.

The Organization, as a collective of sovereign and supportive states, is strengthened knowing that the aspiration for a truly alternative and inclusive third way of development is becoming more and more concrete, concluded Bin Mussallam.
